The main task of this department is production and supplying of Plant Protection Products (PPPs), which are developed by Institute researches. In addition that:

• To produce the attractant, named ZİRAY, which is used successfully in the control of olive fruit fly and Mediterranean fruit fly developed by Dr. Ayten GÜVENER retired institute personnel,
• To ensure the sustainable production of ZİRAY in the production facilities, which are located in Gömeç District of Balıkesir Province.
• To work in coordination with the other departments of the Institute, especially the Department of Agricultural Pesticides, on the development and production of plant protection products.
