UTAEM hosted "A Short Couse and Observational Tour on Modern Approaches to Improving Irrigation Water Efficiency in the Middle East" event organized by Turkish Water Institute and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation within the scope of "Blue Peace in the Middle East" initiative, between 11-15 October 2021.
Representatives from Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkish Water Institute and faculty from Applied Sciences University of Isparta, Dicle University and On Dokuz Mayıs University participated in the event.
The event included presentations on the future of the irrigation systems, efficient irrigation methods and sustainability and technical excursions to, Seferihisar Dam, Menemen Water Users Association and Payamlı Water Users Association. Within the cultural Exchange, there were also trips to Church of Mother Mary and Ancient City of Ephesus.
