On February 28, 2025, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mehmet Mustafa YEŞİL, Head of the TAGEM Department of Soil and Water Resources Research, to support the integration of a domestic satellite.

Participants included Dr. Fatih Fehmi ŞİMŞEK and Dr. Mustafa TEKE from TÜBİTAK Space Technologies Research Institute, Prof. Dr. Eyüp Selim KÖKSAL from Ondokuz Mayıs University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Levent YAĞCI from Gebze Technical University, and researchers from our institute's Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing Research Center.

During the meeting, our Institute Director, Mahmut Sami ÇİFTCİ, gave a presentation on the use of satellite data in agricultural research.

The meeting addressed topics such as infrastructure, technical requirements, processes, budget, and the efficient use of resources for the realization of "Domestic Satellite" integration.

Subsequently, we participated in the Konya Agriculture Fair, where we engaged with representatives from the private sector and shared information regarding the ongoing work of our Institute.

We hope that these strong connections in the field of smart agricultural technologies will lead to productive collaborations in the near future.
