Chemical Fertilizer Analysis Laboratory

The determination of the degree of compliance with the standards of chemical fertilizers either domestic products or exported ones are realized through making chemical and physical analyses in the Chemical Fertilizer Analysis Laboratory which have been functioning since the establishment of the Institute.

It is the first and the unique laboratory in our Ministry which was accredited for the N-P-K analyses of chemical fertilizers with AB-0299-2012 accredited number within the context of Chemical Fertilizer Analyses according to TS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2012 standards from TURKAK (Turkish Accreditation Institution) on June 17, 2010.

Analyses performed with samples;

  • Physical Analyses: Moisture analysis, sieve analysis
Chemical Analyses: Nitrogen (Total nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, ammonium nitrogen, urea nitrogen, biuret) determination, Phosphorus (Total phosphorus, water-soluble phosphorus, neutral ammonium phosphorus, ammonium citrate-soluble phosphorus) determination, Potassium (Water-soluble potassium) determination, with two types as a Total and a Water-Soluble; Iron, Copper, Zinc, Manganese, Magnesium, Boron, Calcium determination and EDTA, HEDTA, DTPA determination in micro element fertilizers containing Chelate according to TS EN 13368-1
  • Analysis results are evaluated according to "Regulation on Chemical Fertilizers Used in Agriculture" of The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Analyses (such as sieve and moisture analyses) excluded from this regulation are assessed according to TSE Standards or their label data.
