The Department of Agricultural Economics, which continues its activities within our institute, conducts social and economic research at regional, national and international levels using the basic principles of economics of agricultural products produced.
Aims and Objectives;
Agricultural Economics is a branch of science that seeks solutions to agricultural problems using the basic principles of economics. When evaluated within this framework, agricultural economists research both technical issues of agriculture such as field crops, horticultural crops, animal husbandry and evaluation of agricultural products, and issues of economy such as planning, management, financing, accounting, business administration, marketing, agricultural policy, agricultural law, village sociology, agricultural publication. It also deals with plans and programs implemented by the state in order to develop the agricultural sector, improve the living standards of farmers, protect consumers from excessive price increases and increase the export of agricultural products.

- To fulfill other duties assigned by TAGEM and the Institute Directorate.
