The Global Soil Laboratory Network (GLOSOLAN), established in 2017 by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (UNFAO) within the framework of the Global Soil Partnership, aimed at networking and capacity building through cooperation and information sharing between different levels of expertise. The laboratories of our institute were accepted to the "GLOSOLAN" system on behalf of our country on March 23, 2018 due to its international competence.

UNFAO GLOSOLAN has created divisions within the continents and invited our Institute to make two presentations at the opening meeting of EUROSOLAN network. Laboratories from 23 different countries from Europe and Eurasia participated in the meeting and discussions were held to create a common laboratory language. FAO has chosen our institute as the exemplary of "BEST LABORATORY IN CONTROL CHECKING AND ASSURING THE QUALITY".  in addition to the presentation of laboratories, a presentation on quality was requested from the Institute by opening a separate session on the subject. Director of the Institute Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aynur ÖZBAHÇE made presentations at the meeting held on 02-05 October 2019 in Chișinău, capital of Moldova. We received positive feedback from FAO officials and participants from other countries, and there were requests for a more active role in the Institute.

I owe FAO officials a debt of gratitude who chose our institute as the best example in a very important issue such as quality in an international platform, and i would thank to all my colleagues who have made quality a lifestyle, especially my Quality Management System team, which has shown utmost importance and effort for the sustainability of quality since December 2013.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aynur ÖZBAHÇE

Director of the Institute
