SOIL FERTILIZER AND WATER RESOURCES CENTRAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE HAS BEEN ACCEPTED BY FAO TO THE GLOBAL SOIL LABORATORY NETWORK - GLOSOLAN SYSTEM

The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock is a member of the Global Soil Partnership, established by the United Nations Food Agriculture Organization (UNFAO) in 2012, and serves as the focal point in our country.

At the 5th General Assembly Meeting of the Global Soil Partnership held in the FAO Headquarters in June 2017, it was decided to establish the Global Soil Laboratory Network - GLOSOLAN System, which will include the reference laboratories of the member countries determined to comply with international standards. A meeting was held at the Headquarters. 44 experts from 37 member countries attended the meeting, to which the Soil Fertilizer and Water Resources Central Research Institute was invited to represent our country, and a road map for GLOSOLAN was prepared.

The Soil Fertilizer and Water Resources Central Research Institute, which has adopted the Total Quality Management System, is sought by FAO;

• To be a reference laboratory in soil analyzes on behalf of countries,

• To operate the Quality Control System in its laboratory,

• To both participate in proficiency tests and conduct them throughout the country,

• Determining compliance with international conditions, such as obtaining the Quality Accreditation Certificate and successfully implementing it.

The Central Research Institute of Soil, Fertilizer and Water Resources was officially accepted into the "Global Soil Laboratory Network - GLOSOLAN" system on behalf of our country as of the end of March 2018.

The aim and future goals of the GLOSOLAN network are as follows;

• To strengthen the performance and improve the capacities of member laboratories through the integration of soil data sets and information systems for the development of global standards,

• To enable the comparison and interpretation of soil properties obtained as a result of integrated analyzes in accordance with standards in GLOSOLAN member laboratories by other member laboratories,

• To share the experiences and experience gained between Regional Soil Laboratory Networks (RESOLAN),

• To determine the goals of increasing the quality and reliability of laboratories that are members of GLOSOLAN,

• To define the parameters required for interlaboratory harmony,

• To check that the GLOSOLAN member laboratory maintains international standards through periodic inspections,

• To explore the possibilities of using a single standard method for each parameter,

• Pioneering capacity development opportunities to increase the quality of laboratory analyses,

• To encourage accreditation and the use of national standards within the scope of Total Quality by other laboratories.

 It is respectfully announced to the public.
