Institute Director

He was born in Trabzon in 1971. He completed his primary and secondary education in Of district. He matriculated to Plant Protection Department of Tokat Agricultural Faculty of Cumhuriyet University as the first student in 1990. He graduated from the Faculty in 1994. The same year he began his Graduate Study in Plant Protection Department of Science Institute of Gaziosmanpaşa University and he completed his Master Degree in 1997. Between 1995-1997 years he worked as Research Assistant at Science Institute of Gaziosmanpaşa University and between 1998-2000 years he worked as Specialist at Erbaa Vocational School of Gaziosmanpaşa University. He began Doctorate at Plant Protection Department of Science Institute of Selçuk University in 1999 and he completed Doctorate with thesis titled "Investigations on the Determination of Bark Beetle (Coleoptera: Scolytıdae) Species Which are Harmful in Hazelnut Orchards of Giresun, Ordu and Samsun Province of Turkey and The Mass Trapping Method in Their Control" in 2004. He was appointed to Black Sea Agricultural Research Institute in Ministry of Food Agriculture and Livestock in 2000. He worked as Head of Plant Health at the Institute between 2001-2013 years. He is working on hazelnut and fruit pests and since 08.07.2013 he continues his mission as Institute Director. He is married and has two children one is daughter and other is son.
