In the memory of Mirza GÖKGÖL, who pioneered the collection and assessment activities of germplasms in Türkiye, the “Mirza Gökgöl International Plant Genetic Resources Symposium" was organized in UTAEM (International Agricultural Research and Training Center) by Aegean Agricultural Research Institute between 6-9 November 2023. Director General for TAGEM, Metin Türker and Deputy DG, Şerafettin Çakal participated in the opening ceremony. More than 150 national and international expert on plant genetic resources had a chance to share their knowledge and experiences with the others.
