Today, conventional agricultural techniques are being transformed with cutting-edge and smart technologies supported by artificial intelligence and Smart Agriculture Practices will shape the future of Agriculture. Considering this fact, Smart Agriculture Practices are discussed in a large-scale workshop hosted by UTAEM in November 24-25. The organizers of workshop are TAGEM (Directorate General for Agricultural Research and Policies) and Izmir Institute of Technology.
In the first day of the workshop, Directorate General for TAGEM, Metin Türker, Rector from Izmir Institute of Technology, Prof. Yusuf Baran and Izmir Provincial Director on Agriculture, Mustafa Ozen made opening speeches. In two-day workshop, Agriculture 4.0 Principles and Smart Agriculture Practices are presented by the representative from universities, research institutes and private sector.
Totally 150 participants have been registered in the workshop from public, private bodies as well as NGOs.
