7th International Course on Sustainable Management of Soil and Water Resources was held in our Center with 15 participants from Iran, Sudan, Afghanistan, Algeria, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia between 18-29 July 2016.
During the course, experts and lecturers from Aegean University Faculty of Agriculture, Konya Soil, Water and Deserting Control Research Institute, Dicle University Faculty of Agriculture, Soil, Fertilizer and Water Resources Central Research Institute, Atatürk University Faculty of Agriculture also agriculture engineers from our center gave lectures.
Lectures such as, Water Harvesting Case Study, Desertification and Land Degradation Case Study, Sediment Measurement and Evaluation in Watersheds, Micro-Irrigation, Hydrological Models and Applications, Erosion Mapping Methodologies, involved in the program.
Within the scope of the program two technical excursions were organized. Besides, a touristic trip was organized to Foça for the weekend. First week of the course participants visited Tahtalı Dam in Menderes and second week they visited Menemen Left Bank Irrigation Union and Emiralem Regulator and also Bird Paradise.
