Who we are:
The EMARI (Eastern Mediterranean Agricultural Research Institute) is an official provider of scientific research & innovation to governmental, non-governmental and commercial organisations in agriculture and related sectors. Has scientific capability and facilities to execute researches in different agroecosystems. Possesses a broad expertise in "wide range, special skill requiring projects" for agricultural development.
EMARI was founded in year 1924 in Adana province of Turkey to develop strategies for the "natural conservation oriented argicultural development" of East Mediterranean zone of Turkey. Our Institute is located in one of the most important and fertile agricultural landpart of Europe (Cukurova Delta). Whole activity area of our Institute covers mainly three agro ecological zones (Mediterranean Region, East Anatolia and South East Anatolia) in Turkey. Provinces under our responsibility are Adana, Adiyaman, Mersin, Hatay, Gaziantep, Kilis, Kahramanmaras and Osmaniye in Turkey.
Our task topics are cereals, livestocks, industrial crops, pulses, pasture & forage crops, water & soil resources, biodiversity, mechanisation and technology.
