Within the scope of "Producing Farmer, Developing Sivas" project in Sivas; "1st Sivas Wheat Workshop" was organized by Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. Sivas Governor Salih AYHAN, Deputy Governor Yeliz YILDIZHAN, Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forest Seyit YILDIZ, Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Dean of Faculty of Agriculture. Dr Mehmet Ali SAKİN, Deputy Director of the Institute, İlker TOPAL and many non-governmental organization members and producers participated in the meeting.
Wheat Workshop held on 25-26 March 2019; Presentation of newly developed varieties were made by Zafer ARİSOY, MusaTÜRKÖZ, Irfan GÜLTEKIN, Murat KÜÇÜKÇONGAR, Mustafa ÖNDER and Muhittin BÖGET on topics such as quality seed use, soil processing, fertilization improvement of cultivation techniques, disease and pest control and reduction of crop losses.
