Prof. Dr. Pavel KOZAK Visited Our Institute After 8 Years

​Rector of the University of South Bohemia, Czech Republic, faculty member of the Faculty of Aquaculture and Protection of Aquatic Resources, Prof. Dr. Pavel KOZAK visited our Institute on 26-27 June 2025.

Mr. KOZAK had been to our Institute for two months in 2017 within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2221-Guest or Sabbatical Scientist Support Program; he made significant contributions to our Institute, especially with his hypothesis on crayfish plague-free juvenile production.

During his visit, research centers, units and laboratories affiliated with our Institute were examined; he was given detailed information about the R&D activities carried out. During this visit, which took place after an eight-year break, Prof. Dr. KOZAK expressed his satisfaction with the point reached by the studies on crayfish farming and health, and emphasized that the ability to diagnose disease agents at the traditional and molecular level is an important development. In addition, Mr. KOZAK stated that our Institute is an institution that guides national policies in crayfish and medicinal leech research and expressed his satisfaction with future collaborations.
