​The Institute Directors Activity and Evaluation Meeting organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM) was held in Antalya between May 21-23, 2025. A large delegation consisting of TAGEM General Director Dr. Mustafa Altuğ ATALAY, Deputy General Directors, Department Heads, Antalya Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Şakir Fırat ERKAL, 49 Institute Directors including our Institute Director Dr. Oğuz Yaşar UZUNMEHMETOĞLU, Internal Audit Director Göktuğ BAĞLI, General Directorate of Personnel Cadre Department Head Dursun PINAR, representatives of the Strategy Development Presidency, Strategy and Budget Presidency, TÜBİTAK officials, trainers and Ministry experts attended the meeting.

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim YUMAKLI and Deputy Minister Prof. Dr. Ahmet GÜMEN participated in the meeting online. In his opening speech, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim YUMAKLI emphasized that R&D activities and TAGEM have strategic importance in the Ministry's work in the agricultural production process. He drew attention to the importance of institutes developing protective and preventive measures against developments that may negatively affect agriculture and animal husbandry, especially increasing natural events. At the end of his speech, he wished the meeting to be beneficial for agriculture and animal husbandry.

Our General Manager Dr. Mustafa Altuğ ATALAY stated in her speech that this three-day meeting, which aims to further the work of the institutes affiliated with TAGEM, should be evaluated not only as an institutional necessity but also as a factor that increases commitment and motivation to the work.
