Pomology Laboratory

In the institute, the pomology laboratory is used in order to distinguish certain characteristics of genotypes and varieties in vineyard, fruit, vegetable, and ornamental plants developed as a result of breeding studies. The characteristics of genotypes and cultivars such as fruit weight, size, shape, skin color, flesh/seed ratio, acidity, water-soluble dry matter, and juice content are determined. For this purpose, the following devices are available in our laboratory:

- pH meter

- Refractometer

- Titration Acidity Meter

- Juicer

- Blender

- Color Meter
