Within the framework of the Artificial Reef Project, jointly implemented by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and Akdeniz University, our Institute's Technical Coordinator, Dr. Mehmet Ali T. Koçer, delivered a presentation entitled "Segrass Meadows and Marine Restoration" during the Artificial Reef Project Introduction and Reef Deployment Ceremony, held on 25 June 2026. The event was attended by Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin, Ebru Şahin, Project Coordinator of the Antalya Blue Mediterranean Initiative, Büşra Özdemir, Deputy Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, as well as representatives from public institutions, academia, and civil society organizations. During the presentation, participants were informed about the monitoring, conservation, and restoration activities carried out under the MedPROACT Project, which is co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg NEXT MED Programme and implemented with the partnership of our Institute. The presentation also highlighted the project's activities conducted in the Kaş-Kekova Special Environmental Protection Area.
