Researchers from our Institute have resumed fieldwork in the Mediterranean aboard the Mediterranean Research Vessel 1 as part of the “Monitoring of Fisheries Resources along Türkiye's Aegean (GSA22) and Mediterranean (GSA24) Coasts (AEGMED)" project, which is being carried out by our Institute.
During this stage of the project, fishery-independent data on demersal fisheries resources in the Mediterranean will be collected. Genetic material samples are also being collected for the national gene bank.
Upon completion of the fieldwork, the data collected will be analyzed and reported annually to our Ministry.
