ATO IDEA General Manager Gaye YARDIMCI and his working team attended the meeting held at our Institute within the scope of the "Ankara Vegetation Map" project supported by Ankara Development Agency, carried out by ATO IDEA and planned to provide technical contribution to our Institute. At the meeting, the Director of our Institute, Dr. Ayten SALANTUR has given detailed information about the mission and vision, areas of responsibility and current scientific research activities of our Institute, which has had national and regional responsibilities since 1926. Afterwards, ATO President Gürsel BARAN and ATO IDEA team, who attended the meeting, visited and examined the Turkey Seed Gene Bank of our Biodiversity and Genetic Resources Department. Mr. Gürsel BARAN stated that getting to know the Field Crops Central Research Institute added a new vision in this project, which they started with the support of General Directorate of Plant Production, General Directorate of Agricultural Reform and Ankara Directorate of Provincial Agriculture and Forestry affiliated to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, where plants collected from nature and produced in 25 districts of Ankara were promoted. Within the scope of the meeting, the cooperation and projects to be made in the upcoming period between the ATO and our Institute were evaluated and a road map was determined.
