Within the scope of the project titled “Enhancement of Agro-Ecological Management System through Promoting Ecosystem-Oriented Food Production" implemented by our Institute in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Türkiye Office, a training program was conducted in Bolu by our Institute Director, Dr. Rahmi Taşcı, and his delegation.
A total of 40 women producers from the Gelincik Kadıneli and Tomurcuk Hanımeli Women's Cooperatives participated in the training. The program focused on enhancing the added value and marketability of products based on local and cultural heritage, specifically emphasizing Iza wheat. In this context, the production of muffins made from Iza wheat flour was demonstrated in a practical session.
As part of the program, the Bolu Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry was also visited, and consultations were held with the Provincial Director, Zekeriya Ar.
