The “Workshop on Microorganisms in Biotechnology and Risk Assessment," organized by the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM) and opened with speeches delivered by our Director General, Dr. M. Altuğ Atalay, was held at the TAGEM Conference Hall with the participation of over 100 invitees, including researchers from our Institute's Biotechnology Department, relevant units of our Ministry, academicians, and representatives from the private sector.
At the workshop, where our Deputy Director of the Institute, Dr. Fatma Gül Maraş Vanlıoğlu, delivered a presentation titled “TAGEM Agricultural Biotechnology Studies," the use of microorganisms in biotechnology, risk assessment processes, as well as practices in our country and in the European Union were discussed.
