We are conducting studies on our endangered species. We gathered at our Institute's Training Facilities with the aim of conserving our country's rich fish fauna and ensuring its sustainable management.

Under the coordination of the General Directorate of Fisheries and Aquaculture, species assessments continue with the participation of scientists from our universities in line with the criteria of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

The “Turkish Endangered Fish Species Commission," consisting of expert scientists, researchers, and representatives of relevant institutions and organizations, continues its efforts to safeguard our natural wealth for the future.
As a result of the intensive and meticulous work initiated in 2023, we are now very close to finalizing the preparation of the “Red List of Turkish Fish Species."
