​Under the coordination of Legambiente Nazionale APS (Italy), the 2nd Steering Committee Meeting of the Interreg NEXT MED MedPROACT project — carried out in partnership with our Institute, Siena University (Italy), CIHEAM-Bari (Italy), the National Institute of Marine Sciences and Technologies (Tunisia), Sousse University (Tunisia), and the University of Jordan (Jordan) — was held on October 29, 2025, at the Union for the Mediterranean premises in Barcelona, with the participation of our representatives Dr. Mehmet Ali T. Koçer and Dr. Merve Karakuş.

The project focuses on enhancing ecosystem resilience and the sustainable management of marine resources, aiming to strengthen the capacity of Mediterranean coastal communities to adapt to climate change.
