TAGEM Institute Directors Activity and Evaluation Meeting Held in Antalya

​The TAGEM Institute Directors Activity and Evaluation Meeting was held in Antalya on May 21–23, 2025. The meeting was attended online by Minister Prof. Dr. İbrahim Yumaklı and Deputy Minister Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gümen, with the participation of TAGEM Director General Dr. Mustafa Altuğ Atalay, Deputy Directors General, Department Heads, 49 Institute Directors, and representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, TÜBİTAK, and other related institutions.


In his opening remarks, Minister Prof. Dr. İbrahim Yumaklı emphasized the strategic importance of R&D activities and TAGEM’s role in agricultural production and ministry initiatives. He highlighted the need for proactive and preventive measures against natural events and other challenges that may negatively affect agriculture and livestock sectors.

Dr. Mustafa Altuğ Atalay, Director General of TAGEM, stated that the three-day meeting aimed not only to improve the work of TAGEM institutes but also to strengthen institutional commitment and motivation.

Hosted by our Institute, the program included training sessions and expert presentations on effective leadership, strategic management, performance evaluation, and internal audit processes. Participants also received briefings on investigation and inspection procedures, occupational health and safety, and TÜBİTAK programs and funding opportunities.

The meeting concluded with evaluations by Dr. Atalay and closing remarks from institute directors, marking a productive and collaborative event for the future of agricultural and livestock research in Türkiye.
