A delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, led by Advisor to the Minister Mr. Zaur ALIYEV, visited our country for a one-week stay to gain insights into Türkiye’s fisheries management and familiarize themselves with the sector.
Following a presentation by Institute Director Serkan Erkan on the ongoing projects, the delegation received detailed information about laboratories, research units, microalgae units, facilities for the production and cultivation of endangered species, mass aquaculture units, and the research vessel.
The delegation, responsible for establishing the General Directorate of Fisheries and the Fisheries Research Institute in Azerbaijan, gathered in-depth information from the Institute Director on administrative and technical management, physical infrastructure, and working principles to implement a similar structure in Azerbaijan.
