The Interreg NEXT MED MedPROACT Project, co-financed by the European Union (€ 2.499.993,86), aims to strengthen the capacity of Mediterranean coastal communities to adapt to climate change, with a focus on ecosystem resilience and the sustainable management of marine resources. The activities include innovative solutions and pilot actions to address challenges such as the management of invasive species, the conservation and restoration of marine biodiversity and ecosystems, and the development of local adaptation tools. A transnational consortium bringing together partners from Italy, Turkey, Jordan and Tunisia is working together for a more sustainable Mediterranean, engaging fishers, tourism operators, the scientific community, institutions and young people to promote participation and awareness.
