"Fisheries Genetic Resources Registration National Committee", which was established in accordance with the Regulation on Registration of Fisheries Genetic Resources, is hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies on December 18, 2019 for a meeting about registration of fish species. The decision regarding the registration of 11 fish species taken at this meeting was published in the official gazette dated 09 August 2020.

Sprat (Sprattus sprattus), mullet (Liza aurata), swallow (Chelidonichthys lucerna) and bluefish (Pomatomus saltatrix) are among the species registered in the name of General Directorate Of Agrıcultural Research And Policies with the studies conducted by our institute.
