To introduce innovative approaches and technologies in aquaculture and also promote smart transformation of aquaculture in Asion Productivity Organization (APO) members, SUMAE conducted a training course on Innovative Approaches in Aquaculture with the support of APO through Ministry of Industry and Technology, Republic of Türkiye.

During the training course, Dr. Daisuke Kitazawa from The University of Tokyo, Dr. Junya Higano from Marino-Forum 21, and Dr. Rafet Çağrı Öztürk from Karadeniz Technical University introduced latest developments in cage aquaculture systems, feeding, and also genetics conservation.

Forty participants from industries, government agencies, and academia, representing 12 APO members, attended the course, where they discussed current trends in aquaculture, shared experiences, and virtually visited National Fisheries Gene Bank.
