Objectives:
Objectives of this division is to conduct research and development activities on providing the conditions required for minimizing environmental pollution by carrying out the chemical control in plant protection against the diseases, pests and weeds in such a way that is compatible with appropriate technique.
Study subjects and activities:
- To choose the correct disinfectant according to the targeted species to be disinfected and ensuring that it is applied at right time, dose and through right equipment.
- To develop new equipment specific for the crop and/or disease/pest or improving the existing machines in order to enhance efficacy of control disinfection and conducting research and development studies on their use.
- Ensuring that the machines are run in the optimum conditions.
- Performing settings and maintenance of the machines.
- Training on selection, calibration and use of the plant protection machines and their maintenance and security.
- Monitoring the experiments in terms of machine use in context of disinfectant registration studies.
- Preparing "Technical Instructions for Agricultural Pest Control", "Technical Instructions for Integrated Control" and brochures on subject of using the plant protection machines.
Possibilities of the Laboratory:
- Analysis of trace substances through fluorometric methods.
- Analyses of covering rate, drop diameter and distribution through image analysis methods.
- Calibration of the plant protection machines.
- Measurement for leave surface.
