Biological Control Laboratory was established in 1965 in the Directorate of Bornova Plant Protection Research Institute and still operates as the Department of Biological Control.
During the 1966-2019 period, more than 25 research projects on the fauna of beneficials and its distribution, biology and consumption, population dynamics, mass production, release effectiveness and side effects of pesticides on beneficial insects. have been completed.
