A workshop was done about the current situation of "Eğirdir Lake" in the context of global climate change and drought and agricultural irrigation policies In order to evaluate, and to shed light on central authorities and local decision makers in the light of concrete facts and scientific data. It was organized with the partnership of Isparta Citizens Foundation (ISVAK), Egirdir and Kovada Lakes Association (EKO-BIR), Isparta Süleyman Demirel University (SDU), Isparta University of Applied Sciences (ISUBÜ) and Fruit Research Institute; Scientific and Sectoral Workshop on "Egirdir Lake and Agricultural Irrigation" was done by hosting of Fruit Research Institute.
Workshop was moderated by Economist Author, ISVAK Board of Member Zeki Tarhan; Isparta AK Party Deputies Recep Özel and Mehmet Uğur Gökgöz, Isparta Deputy of Isparta Dr. Aylin Cesur, Isparta Governor Ömer Seymenoğlu, Eğirdir District Governor Adem Çelik, Eğirdir Mayor Veli Gök, ISVAK President Ahmet Şahlan, DSİ General Directorate Survey Planning Deputy Director Ahmet Özbek, Isparta University of Applied Sciences (ISUBÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Diler, Süleyman Demirel University (SDU) Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Saltan, academicians from SDU, ISUBU, sector representatives and people who love Lake Eğirdir had attended to the workshop.
