The project named "The Effects of Different Planting Density and Training Systems on Yield and Quality in Peach", which was carried out by Fruit Research Institute between 2012-2019, In order to bringing the results of our project; cultivation and demonstration orchards have been started to be established with the support of the KOP administration (Konya Plain Project Regional Development Administration) and in cooperation with the Konya Agriculture and Forestry Provincial Directorate and Akşehir District in 2020. The aim of the project is to get high yield and high quality products in peach trees by limiting the canopy development of the trees and planting seedlings to 1 meter and planting trees in a narrow conical (thin spindle training system) structure with modern systems that minimize the risks of hail and frost. It is aimed to increase the productivity 2 times more than normal cultivation and to increase the profitability of our producer to 4 times. The Orchards which we first established in Akşehir (Konya) after the Peach Harvest Festival that was done in last year by the organization of our institute in which we presented our project results last year. The project have been completed with fully modern established orchards.
