Eğirdir district is between 37o 50ı 41ıı – 38o 16ı 55ıı North latitude and 30o 57ı 43ıı – 30o 44ı 39ıı east longitude. It has been established on an area of 1414 km2 in lakes region at Southwestern Anatolia, on the east-west coast of Eğirdir lake which is Turkey's fourth largest lake. Eğirdir is within the boundaries of Isparta city. It is surrounded by Yalvaç and Gelendost districts from North, Şarkikaraağaç and Aksu districts from east, Sütçüler district from south, Burdur province from southwest, central of Isparta and Atabey district from west, and Senirkent district from northwest.
