Our mission and vision are

  • to ensure coordination about research priorities and project management
  • to perform researches on breeding/cross breeding techniques, natural/artificial insemination and embryo transfer in an attempt to increase diversify and productivity
  • to perform research and development activities on animal caring and nutrition, animal welfare, management techniques and housing systems. 
  • to conduct researches on sustainable utilisation and conservation of farm animal genetic resources 
  • to provide registration of breeds which have been developed in consequence of breeding studies and permanency of these breeding materials. 
  • to perform registration studies about new developed or designated breeds 
  • to perform researches on identification and sustainable utilization of protected areas in seas
  • to perform bio-ecologic studies for survey of marine and inland waters resources, sustainable use and management, to obtain and evaluate data, and make recommendations about them 
  • to make management plans for determination and sustainable utilization of aquaculture stocks in marina and inland waters.
  • To carry out studies about diagnosis and treatment of fish diseases and health. 
  • to conduct researches on possible effects of climate changes on livestock and aquaculture.
  • To follow the latest developments relating to livestock and aquaculture, prepare reports. ​
