Original stage seed production of varieties (cool season cereals,industrial crops, medicinal activities; Totally 6500 da land is being used for production and research; 2850 da institute central location, 550 da soil-water institute, 3100 da Hamidiye location of Mahmudiye village 13 wheat, 4 barley, 1 triticale and Hungarian vetch varieties are being produced. In this landa cereal-follow rototion practice is being applied and under the certification system as an avarage 400-600 tons/year of grain can be harvested

Reguired supprt activities of research units/departments are being conducted. The main support acticities are; field level and field improvement,soil cuttivation, seed bed preparation, irri gation, chemical control and labor when necessory.

In work area such as lands caping, land improvement and parcelization, renovation of fixed buildings, operationg activities are being conducted.

Department activities are carried outby totaly 135 personel including 3 technical staff and labors (29 permanent, 55 seasonal, 48 typ)
