The results of the “GAP ile Fıstık Gibi" (A Pistachio Like Project with GAP) project, supported by the Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) Regional Development Administration and conducted between 2022-2024, were shared at the organized panel.
The project included demonstration activities such as good agricultural practices, intercropping, terracing, fertigation, and fully automated irrigation systems, as well as capacity-building efforts like developing a smartphone application, organizing trainings, panels, and forming farmer organizations.
During the panel, the contributions of the project to the region were presented. The panel featured speakers such as Dr. Fatih ÖZDEMİR, Deputy Director General of Agricultural Research and Policies; Dr. Davut KELEŞ, Head of the Department of Horticultural Research; Prof. Dr. Bekir Erol AK and Prof. Dr. İzzet ACAR from Harran University Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture; and Dr. Nevzat ASLAN from Siirt University Department of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition.
