R&D projects are carried out on fruit species such as pistachios (primarily), almonds, olives and vineyards. Our studies include:
- Determining the adaptations of fruit species and varieties in the region,
- Carrying out R&D projects to increase fertility and quality in grown products,
- Determining suitable rootstock-scion combinations for fruit species,
- Determining suitable planting density and training systems,
- Carrying out research to determine the appropriate propagation methods in rootstocks and scions
- Determining the appropriate irrigation and tillage methods in orchards,
- Developing new methods in growing saplings.
In addition to the research activities carried out in our department, we
organize trainings on pistachio cultivation for technical staff, growers and
interns.
