Training on the Surveillance of Cereal Rust Diseases was held at the Regional Cereal Rust Research Center, an Aegean Agricultural Research Institute department. Twenty-six trainees from 8 different research institutes participated, and the training was held face-to-face and online via Zoom. During the training, researchers discussed the importance of surveying for cereal rust diseases regarding plant protection and plant breeding, using the standard survey protocol, sampling in surveillance, and difficulties encountered in preserving samples after the surveillance and completing the 2024 survey plan.
