TAGEM Institute Directors’ Activity and Evaluation Meeting Begins in Antalya
The TAGEM Institute Directors’ Activity and Evaluation Meeting is being held in Antalya between May 21–23, 2025.
The meeting was attended virtually by our Minister, Mr. İbrahim YUMAKLI, and Deputy Minister, Prof. Dr. Ahmet GÜMEN, as well as in person by our Director General, Dr. Mustafa Altuğ ATALAY, Deputy Director Generals, Department Heads, 49 Institute Directors, Antalya Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Mr. Şakir Fırat ERKAL, Head of Internal Audit Mr. Göktuğ BAĞLI, Head of Personnel Department Mr. Dursun PINAR, representatives from the Strategy Development Department and the Presidency of Strategy and Budget, TÜBİTAK officials, trainers, and technical experts from our Ministry.
In his opening speech, Minister İbrahim YUMAKLI emphasized the strategic importance of R&D activities and TAGEM within the agricultural production process and in the Ministry’s overall work.
He also highlighted the importance of taking preventive and protective measures against emerging natural events and other potential threats that may adversely affect agricultural and livestock production. The Minister expressed his hope that the meeting would bring fruitful outcomes for the future of agriculture and animal husbandry.
In his speech, our Director General Dr. Mustafa Altuğ ATALAY stated that this three-day meeting, aimed at advancing the work of TAGEM-affiliated research institutes, should not only be viewed as a corporate requirement but also as a valuable opportunity to reinforce institutional commitment and motivation.
