Within the scope of the Erasmus+ Programme, we hosted Adrian Bugeja Douglas from the University of Malta at our Institute between 28 November and 9 December 2025. Throughout his visit, he received applied instruction from our experts in pollen morphology and advanced analytical methods.
In addition, Douglas delivered a presentation titled “DNA Metabarcoding Technique for Pollen in Honey,” in which he outlined next-generation DNA approaches used for traceability and botanical origin verification in bee products.
This international collaboration has made a meaningful contribution to TAGEM’s objectives of enhancing scientific capacity and has established a strong foundation for future joint research initiatives.
