Our World Bee Day program was held in the Ulubey district with the participation of Ordu Governor Mr. Muammer EROL, Ordu Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi GÜLER, Ulubey District Governor Mrs. Esra DEMİRTAŞ, Deputy Mayor of Ulubey Mr. Eren YEŞİLKAŞ, Director of our Institute Mr. Şeref CINBIRTOĞLU, Ordu Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Mr. Kemal YILMAZ, Food Control Laboratory Director Mr. Nizamittin AÇIKBAŞ, Regional Director of TMO Ordu Mr. Yusuf AKAY, Forestry Operations Director Mr. Ömer UZUNDAL, District Director of National Education Mr. Nurettin ODABAŞ, and the President of the Ordu Beekeepers’ Association Mr. Akın ÇİFTÇİ, as well as protocol members, teachers, students, and parents.
Organized in collaboration with the Ulubey District Governorship, the District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, the District Directorate of National Education, and the Ordu Beekeepers’ Association, the event emphasized the vital role of bees and other pollinators for both humanity and our planet, in accordance with World Bee Day, which was officially adopted by unanimous vote at the United Nations General Assembly in 2017.
In addition, the event held at Ulubey Kindergarten aimed to raise awareness on biodiversity conservation and to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals outlined in the UN 2030 Agenda.
