TAGEM and our Institute collaborate on international training programs and conduct R&D projects together.
In this context, a work program is being organized at our Institute as part of the "Fields of Diversity" project, conducted by the University of Malta in collaboration with the Gozo Rural Directorate. The visit and joint research topics previously carried out by University of Malta academics at our Institute have contributed to the realization of this project.
Within the framework of the work program at our Institute, a training program is being conducted by our researchers for the visiting academics from Malta. The training covers various topics, including technical beekeeping, queen bee breeding, artificial insemination in beekeeping, bee health, and laboratory activities.
Ultimately, the beekeeping operations to be established in Malta will contribute to queen bee rearing, pollination, increased production with local bee breeds, and laboratory infrastructure development.
