The production rights of Kaşmir barley and Manas durum wheat varieties, developed by the Breeding and Genetics Department (Barley and Wheat Breeding Units) and registered in 2025, were transferred to Ergun Tarım ve Tohumculuk Co. following a competitive tender process.

The Institute Director, Dr. Rahmi Taşcı, expressed his appreciation to all staff involved in the long-term breeding efforts and to the participating companies for their interest in the institute's varieties. Following the completion of the tender, the Production Rights Transfer Agreement was signed between Mr. Volkan Ergün, owner of Ergun Tarım ve Tohumculuk Co., and Dr. Fatma Gül Maraş Vanlıoğlu, Deputy Director of the Institute.
