Scientists Dr. Karim Ammar and Dr. Guillermo Sebastian Gerard from the Global Wheat Program of CIMMYT, headquartered in Mexico, together with representatives of the CIMMYT Türkiye Office, visited our Institute. Our Institute has been a partner of the International Winter Wheat Improvement Program (IWWIP) since 1986, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Türkiye. As part of the visit, the delegation toured the experimental fields at our İkizce (Gölbaşı) Research and Application Farm, where ongoing IWWIP activities were reviewed on-site. The visitors were also informed about the activities and research conducted at two of our advanced R&D centers: the Türkiye Seed Gene Bank and the Plant Foods Research Center.

The delegation concluded their visit with a meeting with our Institute Director, Dr. Rahmi Taşcı, during which they exchanged views and discussed potential areas for future cooperation and joint activities.
