Our researcher İlyas Kutlu has successfully defended his PhD thesis titled "Determination of the Genetic Diversity of Bluefish (Pomatomus saltatrix L, 1766) in the Coasts of Türkiye" on June 24, 2025.
🔬 Comprehensive Genetic Analysis Covering Turkish Seas Supervised by Prof. Dr. İbrahim Turan, this comprehensive study analysed the genetic structure of bluefish populations collected from 14 stations along Türkiye's coasts. Using mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) and microsatellite markers, both intra-population and inter-population genetic diversity were examined in detail.
