ICARDA PROJECT WITH 7 COUNTRIES COLLABORATION FROM FRUIT RESEARCH INSTITUTE

Fruit Research Institute continues to do studies in international projects as well as in national projects. In this situation, collaborating seven partner countries study on climate change by an ICARDA project in Turkey which is carried out by two institutes these institutes are Eğirdir Fruit Research Institute and Ankara Directorate of Plant Protection Central Research Institute.

Climate change affects loss of pollutants (pollinators) and this poses an additional risk, among other factors, such as habitat loss, mono-culture agriculture. For eliminating of the risks and project is  supported by 8 million euros budget by ICARDA "Increasing climate change against the pollinator conservation variety" named project, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Palestine, Egypt, Jordan and Turkey partnered preliminary work has started to be completed by 2020 active study period has begun. Ankara Plant Protection Central Research Institute's entomologist Associate Professor Dr. Yasemin GÜLER from Turkey is the coordinator of Turkey in the project and as a fertilization biologist from Eğirdir Fruit Research Institute Hasan Cumhur SARISU is involved in the project.
